Privacy policy

This policy explains how the personal data of visitors to www.andreagiuli.com is processed, in accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

Data controller

Andrea Giuli, who can be contacted at info@andreagiuli.com.

What data is processed

Browsing data. Like any website, the server hosting these pages automatically logs some technical data about each visit (for example IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type). It is used only to keep the site working and secure.

Data sent through the contact form. If you fill in the form, I receive by email your name, email address, subject and message. The same applies if you email me directly at the address shown on the site.

Purpose and legal basis

Form data is used solely to reply to your request. The legal basis is taking steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Browsing data is processed on the basis of the legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your data is not used for newsletters or advertising, is not shared with third parties and is not used for profiling.

How long data is kept

Messages received through the form are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and in any case no longer than 24 months after the last contact. Browsing data is kept by the hosting provider for the period set by its technical procedures.

Who can access the data

The website and mailbox are hosted by Aruba S.p.A., acting as technical service provider (data processor) on servers located in the European Union. The cookie banner is provided by Usercentrics A/S (Cookiebot), also in the European Union. Spam protection for the contact form is provided by Google (reCAPTCHA): Google may transfer data to the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Otherwise, data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Cookies and third-party services

Cookie consent is managed with Cookiebot, a service of Usercentrics A/S (Denmark, European Union). On your first visit a banner lets you accept or refuse the categories of non-essential cookies; your choice is stored in a technical cookie and you can change it at any time from the “cookies” link at the bottom of every page. To display the banner, Cookiebot receives technical data about the visit, such as your IP address in anonymised form.

To protect the contact form from spam the site uses Google reCAPTCHA v3, a service of Google Ireland Limited. The script is loaded only when you interact with the form: it analyses technical data about the visit (such as IP address, browser, and how you move and interact with the page) to tell a person from an automated program, and it may use Google cookies. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in protecting the site and mailbox from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

The site does not use analytics, advertising or profiling tools. Fonts are served directly by the site, with no external services. Links to social profiles (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) are plain links: those services process your data only if you open them, according to their own policies.

The up-to-date list of cookies, generated automatically by Cookiebot, is shown below.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability (Articles 15–22 GDPR). Just email info@andreagiuli.com.

If you believe the processing breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
